There are many breeds of Heavy Horses
all over the world. Many believe that the Shire is our only
breed of Heavy Horse. The Shire is just one of the UK breeds.
To help identify the different heavy horse breeds Southern
Counties have produced a leaflet ‘Heavy horse breeds
and their survival’ with the support of the ‘The
Rare Breeds Survival Trust - Dorset Branch’.
We can only continue our work in securing the future of the
Heavy Horse with your help. By attending our shows and joining
our association you are helping us achieve our aims.
Why not look out for our merchandise stand at the many shows
we attend. We have many unique gifts take home. All proceeds
go to the association.
